Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 64. 58 mm (w) x 53. 40 mm (h), weighing 36. 6 grams, with loss of finish and loosening of the eagle
